Scripture Reading ... 2 Corinthians 8:9 & Matthew 4:1-11

Jesus was not rich while He walked the earth. He was born in a manger and lived a modest life. He could have lived in the finest palace, but for our sake He lived a life of poverty. His wealth remained in heaven.

Jesus experienced all the temptations we have experienced. It is said that He was tempted for forty days and forty nights. Jesus knows the temptations we must endure, because He has endured them.

His entire life and death were all about sacrifice. The sacrifice was for us and to benefit all of mankind.
